What began as a simple way to raise money for their fraternity chapter has grown into a movement that celebrates culture, connection, and creativity. CEO Mark Savage (Mark Sanders Jr.) and Co-Owner/Founder DJ King (Jeff King) — both proud members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. — are redefining what it means to build experiences in the modern entertainment world.

The two entrepreneurs met while attending Livingstone College, a historically Black college in Salisbury, North Carolina. As undergraduates, they noticed a void in the social scene — students wanted events that were organized, safe, and fun. Driven by their fraternity’s values of leadership and service, they began hosting parties both on and off campus to raise funds for their chapter. Those early events quickly became known for their unique energy, themed concepts, and attention to detail.
“We didn’t want to just throw parties,” says Mark Savage. “We wanted to build experiences where people felt they belonged — where everything from the music to the atmosphere told a story.”
As their reputation grew, so did their vision. What started as college gatherings evolved into community events, luxury parties, concerts, and music executive work. Today, their brand has expanded into a multi-dimensional company focused on not only entertainment but also empowerment. One of their standout initiatives is a behavioral health program for boys, designed to encourage positive development through mentorship and creativity.
“Our community work is just as important as the parties,” explains DJ King. “We believe in using our platform to uplift the next generation. If we can inspire one young man to see a bigger picture, we’ve done our job.”
The duo has become known for turning ordinary venues into unforgettable experiences — complete with VIP setups, high-end visuals, and carefully curated themes that make each event feel exclusive yet welcoming. Their professionalism and consistency have led them to work with mainstream recording artists and host sold-out homecoming celebrations that have become must-attend events in their region.
Behind every success story is discipline, and both Mark Savage and DJ King attribute their growth to the lessons learned through Alpha Phi Alpha and their HBCU experience. The fraternity’s focus on scholarship, service, and manly deeds continues to guide their approach to business and leadership.
“Alpha Phi Alpha taught us to lead by example,” says Mark. “Everything we do — from event planning to community outreach — reflects those principles. We want people to see that you can be professional, make an impact, and still create something fun and meaningful.”
Their vision extends beyond entertainment. The two are building an ecosystem where culture, entrepreneurship, and creativity coexist. They see events not just as parties, but as platforms for networking, business exposure, and community unity. Whether it’s bringing local artists to the stage, partnering with Black-owned businesses, or organizing community workshops, their work consistently bridges gaps between art, culture, and purpose.
“We’ve seen the power of bringing people together,” says DJ King. “When people share a space filled with positivity, it creates memories and opportunities that last longer than the night itself.”
As they look ahead, the pair plans to expand their brand nationally — hosting larger festivals, developing youth programs, and collaborating with corporate sponsors to bring more visibility to their mission. Their story serves as proof that innovation and integrity can transform a college hustle into a long-term legacy.
In an industry often driven by trends, Mark Savage and DJ King are driven by vision. What started in the halls of Livingstone College has become a brand built on brotherhood, purpose, and passion — one that continues to raise the standard for what true event experiences can be.
“This is just the beginning,” says Mark. “We’re not just creating events — we’re creating culture.”
